Sounds of Harlingen

Hear! Hear!

You are sitting in one of the most beautiful gardens in Harlingen. It is slowly getting dark. Sounds can be heard, but you cannot quite identify them yet. Images of Harlingen now and then appear on three screens. You see the mist on the pier and the Wadden Sea, you hear the melancholic sound of the foghorn, the church bells ringing, an old shipyard, right in the city center of Harlingen. Iron on iron, a ship's engine.

Recognizable sounds, unique images

Sounds emanate from the speakers and the surroundings of the garden you are sitting in change along with them. You look from screen to screen, occasionally walking a short distance to get a better view.
